A MAN has been rescued from a flat after a fire in a four-storey building.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received the call to the building fire at Wellington Court in Wellington Street, Ipswich at 2.29pm.
Two appliances from Princes Street and one appliance from Ipswich East attended the scene of the blaze.
Crews discovered a flat with the four-storey building was on fire and one male was rescued from the building and cared for by the ambulance service.
The crews used one hosereel, one covering jet and two sets of breathing apparatus to fight the fire, which was extinguished by 2.49pm.
