Ipswich: Man robbed and attacked by gang of teenagers

IPSWICH: Police are appealing for witnesses after a 30-year-old man was robbed by a gang of teenagers.

The male victim was walking down St Helen’s Street on Saturday at approximately 11.45pm when a group of teenagers behind him began shouting. He ignored them and carried on walking.

The next thing the victim remembers is waking up a short time later on the floor outside the County of Suffolk Pub. He had a cut to the left side of his head requiring stitches. The large white headphones he was wearing had been stolen.

The group, of both boys and girls, contained between eight to ten youths aged approximately 14 to 15 years old.

Shortly afterwards three men were seen near the Regent Theatre, one of which was wearing similar headphones to those stolen from the victim.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or saw the group of youths is asked to call DC Hannah Martin from Ipswich Priority Crime Team on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
