Ipswich: Man treated for smoke inhalation

A man has been treated for the effects of smoke inhalation following a fire in a flat in Ipswich this morning.

A fire crew from Princes Street was called to the property in Turret Green Court, Silent Street at about 9.50am.

The crew called for back up after discovering a blaze in a second floor flat with people reported to be in the building.

Two further crews were dispatched from Princes Street and Ipswich East. The blaze was under control by 10am and all residents of the building were accounted for.

Fire control requested an ambulance to treat one man who was suffering from smoke inhalation.
