Detectives are continuing their search for two men after a man was stabbed in what is believed to have been a targeted attack.

Suffolk Police were called at 7.10pm on Thursday to reports a man had received stab wounds to his legs and one to his back during an incident in Anglesea Road, Ipswich.

The man, in his 30s, was approached by two men who attacked him and demanded money.

Two men were seen getting into a white van after the incident and drove off towards Waterloo Road.

The injured man, who was found near the YMCA in Wellington Street, was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment.

He is now recovering back at home.

A Suffolk police spokesman said: “Following initial enquiries police believe that this was a targeted attack.”

Officers are now appealing for help from the public in tracing the suspects.

The first man was black, around 6ft, no older than 25, of slight to medium build and with a slight moustache. He was wearing dark clothes.

The second man was white, around 5ft 8-9ins tall and had short brown spiky hair. He was wearing black clothes with a light-coloured shirt under his jacket.
