A PHOTO of a suspected sex attacker who indecently assaulted a woman on an Ipswich bus was released by police today.

The 38-year-old victim was on a number 13 bus from the town centre which was travelling along Shepherd Drive when the incident occurred.

The woman and the male offender got on with other passengers at Tower Ramparts. The female passenger sat down at the back of the bus.

After a few stops there was only her and another female passenger remaining at the back.

At this point the man sat between the two women and is said to have stared at the second woman until she got off.

He then touched the woman inappropriately, she pushed him away and he walked to the front of the bus and got off at the next stop.

The man is described as having a tanned complexion, around 35 years old, 6ft tall and of slim build with shirt black wiry hair and was wearing light brown corduroy trousers and carried a rucksack.

Police want to speak to anyone who was travelling on the bus, particularly the other woman, or anyone with any information about the man.

The assault occurred at around 11.25am on September 30.

Anyone with information which could help the police inquiry should telephone Pc Nicola Smith at Ipswich Police on 01473 613500 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
