Ipswich: Police called to Novotel hotel after group “demanded” to be served alcohol at 8.30am

Police were called to a hotel in Ipswich this morning following reports of a group of people demanding to be served alcohol.
A spokesman for the force said staff at the Novotel, in Grey Friars Road, did not want to serve the group drinks and they decided to call officers as a precaution.
The incident happened at about 8.30am today.
