Police closed a road in Ipswich today as firefighters tackled a blaze on heathland.
Crews requested traffic control after arriving at an area off Heath Road, just after 2.30pm, to find about 100 square metres of heath alight.
They quickly surrounded the flames and were able to bring the fire under control with a water jet and two hoses by 3.10pm.
Police closed a section of Woodbridge Road and set up diversions via Playford Road while firefighters dealt with the blaze.
