POLICE are renewing their appeal for witnesses to come forward after a two-vehicle collision in Ipswich left a motorcyclist with life-threatening injuries.

Officers and paramedics were called to Shepherd Drive, Ipswich, at about 3.30pm last Wednesday following the collision between a silver Vauxhall Astra estate car and a black motorcycle.

The motorcycle rider, a man in his 30s who is from the town, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital with serious injuries – he is still in a critical condition.

Police want to hear from anyone who was travelling in the area at the time and may have seen the crash.

Pc Allie Cotton, of the serious collision investigation team, said: “We still believe there are some people who may have witnessed the collision who are yet to contact police.

“It occurred at a time when the area would have been busy with both cars and pedestrians and we want to hear from anyone who may have information that could help our investigation.”

If you have information, call the serious collision investigation team on 101.
