Firefighters have been called to reports of flooding in Ipswich.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received calls about flooding in the Croft Street/Rectory Road area of the town at 5.15pm.

A crew from Princes Street attended and had left by 5.50pm.

Details of the flooding have not been released. However, it follows several alerts from the Environment Agency which warned steady rainfall over recent days had left river levels high in parts of Suffolk – though not in Ipswich.
