A fire in four disused railway sleepers caused rail delays.
Firefighters were called the wood at the side of the railway track in Boss Hall Road at 12.40pm on Sunday.
All trains near this route were delayed until the incident had been dealt with. No one was harmed in the fire.
Officers left the scene at 1pm and services resumed.
