Ipswich soldier killed in Iraq

AN Ipswich soldier was killed in the bomb attack on a patrol boat in southern Iraq on Remembrance Sunday, the MoD has revealed.Staff Sergeant Sharron Elliott, 34, of the Army's Intelligence Corps, was one of four soldiers killed in the blast who were named today.

Staff Sergeant Sharron Elliott, 34, of the Army's Intelligence Corps, was one of four soldiers killed in the blast who were named today.

Staff Sgt Elliot is only the second woman to die in action since the war on Iraq began in 2003.
