IPSWICH: A man was charged last night in connection with two attempted robberies at shops in the town.
Aiden Flanigan, 29, from Whitton Church Lane, was arrested following incidents in Cambridge Drive on Tuesday evening and Sheldrake Avenue in the early hours of Wednesday.
He was charged with attempted robbery in relation to the incident at the One Stop store in Cambridge Drive and with a Section Four Public Order Offence in relation to the incident at the Co-op store in Sheldrake Drive.
Flanigan remains in police custody at the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre and is due to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court today.
