A teenage boy has today been charged following a stabbing incident in Ipswich.
Officers were called to a car park near St Catherine’s Court in the Stoke Park area of Ipswich at about 1.20pm on Wednesday following a report that a 15-year-old boy had received a single stab wound to his back.
A 15-year-old boy from Ipswich, who was arrested the following day in connection with the incident, has now been charged with causing grievous bodily harm, committing burglary and theft and possessing a knife in a public place.
The boy – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was due to appear at court in Ipswich today.
The victim, who was found in a car park between a set of garages and a block of flats in St Catherine’s Court, remains in a stable condition in hospital.
