Three pubs in Ipswich may close their doors for periods of the day over the next four days after an incident in the town on Tuesday.
It follows a disturbance at the Cricketers pub on Tuesday when a group of about 60 people threatened staff.
Groups tried to get into the Robert Ransome and Golden Lion as well β the pubs are owned by JD Wetherspoon.
A spokesman said: βThe decision has been made in conjunction with police following a risk assessment.β
