IPSWICH: A pedestrian was taken to hospital after a collision with a car in the town centre.
The pedestrian was one of two men who were on foot in Woodbridge Road when the crash happened last night.
An ambulance was called to the scene at around 9.30pm following reports that two people had been involved in a collision with a car behind The Regent Theatre.
Paramedics arrived to find one of the men suffering minor injuries. He was taken to Ipswich Hospital for treatment. The other pedestrian did not need further care.
Firefighters were also called to the scene in case someone was trapped following the collision. But the Princes Street and Colchester Road crews were not required to cut anyone free and returned to their stations.
