An Ipswich Town player who is renowned for kind gestures, appears to have made another - by paying off his mum’s debts.

In a message posted on social networking site Instagram earlier today, the defender’s mother thanked Mings for paying off all her debt.

In the image, which appears to show a text message exchange between the 22-year-old and his mum, Mings thanked his mum in return for her “years of hard work.”

Mings previously made headlines in March 2013 when he left two home game tickets at the gate for a fan who had commented on Twitter that he couldn’t go to the game because he was “skint.”

The star player was also reported to have spent Christmas Day in 2013 feeding the homeless in Ipswich, and last summer paid for new team shirts for some frustrated fans after the number on the back of his shirt changed from 15 to three, when they had bought shirts with the original number on.
