Fans were still outside Portman Road as the East Anglian derby kicked off.
Several hundred Ipswich fans and around 100 Norwich fans were still waiting to get in as the crunch match kicked off tonight.
Despite the number of fans still waiting outside the game got underway as planned at 7.45pm.
Police said there was some pushing and shoving before kick-off.
