Two firms have joined forces to support a wuthering new festive panto taking a sideways look at the celebrated novels of the Bronte sisters.

Legal eagles Barker Gotelee have joined forces for the first time with long-time sponsors Ensors chartered accountants to support Eastern Angles’ The Brontes of Dunwich Cliff and Heath.

The madcap interpretation of Wuthering Heights features Mad Cath, Plain Jane and a panoply of off-the-wall characters, as literature and laughs combine in the musical Christmas caper.

Robert Hatch of Ensors said the firm was “very pleased” to support the show. “The cast and crew at Eastern Angles have excelled themselves in producing a sell-out show – and we are very proud to be a part of it,” he said.

James Skellorn, senior partner at Barker Gotelee, said his firm was delighted to be working with Eastern Angles, as well as joining forces with Ensors. “We look forward to seeing the Christmas production, which we know will be of the highest calibre, as always,” he said.

Artistic director Ivan Cutting welcomed the support. “We’re really grateful to both companies for investing in arts and culture,” he said.

The show runs until January 11 at the Sir John Mills Theatre, Gatacre Road, Ipswich, moving to Seckford Theatre at Woodbridge School.
