People will be able to find out more about Colchester's past this weekend on a tour looking back at 2,000 years of history.
Colchester High Steward Sir Bob Russell will be staging his next Heritage Tour tomorrow morning – this one being his Tour “A” route around the central area of town.
It starts at 10am from Colchester Arts Centre, and lasts around two hours.
Sir Bob invites people to make a donation of £5 towards his fundraising for a statue of the Taylor sisters, Jane and Ann Taylor.
It was younger sister Jane who, in 1806 in Colchester, published a nursery rhyme which today is world-famous as “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”.
Bookings can be made to Colchester Arts Centre by phone on 01206 500900, or e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
His next Town Hall tour is on Saturday, May 19. Bookings should be made to the Arts Centre.
