From a deer looking through some trees to the steel work below a pier, this week’s challenge was to perfectly frame an image with other objects in the shot.

This week’s iWitness challenge was to find natural frames for their subjects in photos, ranging from peering through railings to having trees frame the focus of the shot.

Brian Smith sent in a fantastic photo of a squirrel looking out from a woodpecker nest inside a tree, with the wood framing the head of the squirrel.

Pamela Bidwell caught a well timed shot of a female blackbird landing on a metal railing that perfectly frames the bird.

Our winner this week however comes from Nick Lee who caught a lizard about to climb out from inside a log, showing off all the detail from the wood with the head of the lizard just on show.
