A cow stuck in a ditch off the A1088 had to be rescued by firefighters and attended to by vets.
The team of officers and medical professionals from Bury St Edmunds spent more than one hour trying to get the animal out of the 6ft ditch partially filled with 2ft of water last night.
The incident was reported at 7.47pm and attended by the water rescue team who put strops under the cow.
A vet arrived at approximately 9pm and sedated the cow to make the process of lifting the cow easier.
The cow was rescued shortly after 9pm by officers using a unimog.
