FIREFIGHTERS tackled a fire outside a school in west Suffolk in the early hours of this morning.
Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a fire outside Ixworth Primary School in Crown Lane, Ixworth.
A crew was sent to the scene at 2.40am and found an electricity pole alight.
The flames were extinguished by 3.05am but firefighters remained at the scene while fuses were removed by power network engineers.
