FIRE crews are tackling a blaze at a bungalow in Jaywick.
Two crews from Clacton were called to the incident at Brooklands Gardens just before 8.50pm.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus are using two hose reels to fight the blaze in the single storey building, which measures 5m x 10m.
Crews arriving at the scene reported that 80% of the roof space was alight and the entire house was heavily smoke logged. They had to cut away parts of the roof and walls of the property as they doused the flames.
Firefighters are working hard to prevent the fire from spreading to a neighbouring property. There are no reported casualties.
