Thieves who broke into a bungalow stole jewellery worth hundreds of pounds.
Police said the break-in happened in Jaywick when thieves forced open the front door of the property and ransacked the home, stealing jewellery worth a three-figure sum.
Scenes of crime officers carried out a forensic examination of the scene on Humber Avenue, and house-to-house inquiries were also made.
The burglary took place between Wednesday, December 18 and Monday, December 30.
Anyone with information in connection with the incident should contact detectives at Clacton police station on 101.
