DS Automobiles is introducing the first of a new generation of models with the DS 7 Crossback SUV which is being launched at John Grose at Ipswich on Friday.

Heralding a new era for DS, this new SUV combines the latest technological innovations with the brand’s Parisian savoir-faire, introducing new levels of driving comfort, safety and performance. It is aimed at customers who are in tune with the latest trends, appreciate the world of luxury and prefer to express their unique personality.
Taking the first step towards autonomous driving, DS 7 Crossback offers innovative technologies such as DS Active LED Vision headlights, DS Connected Pilot that reads the road ahead using the on-board camera and DS Driver Attention Assist, which monitors for signs of tiredness from the driver, all of which increase safety, comfort and peace of mind for both the driver and the passengers.
For the exterior, a new diamond-effect grille, horizontal chrome DS Wings and LED rotating headlights create dynamic lines on the body front, while the spacious interior is available with a choice of four DS Inspiration ambiences reflecting the DS concept of even more personalisation options.
The ‘style’ aspect is also reflected in the interior, with two 12in screens positioned at the heart of the cabin. The first is an innovation in the world of SUVs, working with the navigation system, as well as managing the multimedia interface, MirrorScreen and DS Connect functions. The second is a personalisable screen dedicated to the digital instrument cluster.
DS is continuing its partnership with BRM Chronographs, with an exclusive animated timepiece, the BRM R180. Centred on the dashboard, it leaves its setting and pivots 180 degrees when the DS 7 Crossback is started.
One of the many new safety technologies offered in this new model is DS Night Vision which optimises road visibility at night. The infrared camera in the front grille identifies objects, pedestrians and animals on the road at a distance of up to 100 metres ahead. The digital instrument cluster shows the driver the area around the car – within the driver’s line of vision – with a red line around any sources of potential danger. Forewarned, the driver can best react to the situation. DS 7 Crossback is the first C-segment vehicle to include Night Vision, a function generally reserved for vehicles beyond the C-SUV premium segment.
John Grose is giving people the opportunity to be among the first to experience the DS 7 Crossback at the launch event on Friday between 10am and 4pm. If you’re unable to make the event, DS 7 Crossback is available to order now and the launch model will be available to view and test drive at John Grose DS from Saturday.
