LAKESIDE Hammers will race in 2010 without Finnish international Joonas Kylmakorpi after giving permission for other Elite clubs to talk to the rider.

Kylmakorpi was the longest serving member of last year's line up and he joins England International Lee Richardson and the retired Phil Morris as the third of the 2009 side not to be included in next season's team plans.

The Hammers Co Promoter and Team Manager Jon Cook commented on this decision by saying: "Joonas has been a big part of this Club but he has had a terrible run of injuries during the three years of our promotion and also the year before we took over. Each previous winter Stuart (Douglas) and I took another gamble on his average and his fitness for the forthcoming year but this winter we feel that a change of club is the most likely way we can help Joonas change his luck. On his day he is amongst the most exciting riders around our Raceway and we are sure Hammers fans will give him a welcome reception on his return in another team's colours next season".

Joining Kylmakorpi on the available list will be Czech Republic rider Lubos Tomicek, who made a brief return to the UK with Belle Vue last season.
