Police are appealing for witnesses after a substantial theft of diesel from a filling station.

The incident happened between 8pm on Wednesday, November 6 and 6am on Thursday November 7 at the station in Bury Road.

Around 14,000 litres of diesel were siphoned from a tank at the site with an estimated value of over £18,000.

A large vehicle would have been required to steal this amount of fuel and police would like to hear from anybody who witnessed suspicious activity in the area.

Anyone with information relating to this crime is asked to contact Pc Derek Gallagher at Mildenhall Police Station on 101.
