COASTGUARD were called to help a kite surfer who got into trouble this afternoon.
The incident happened in Martello Bay, Clacton-on-Sea, around 2.40pm.
Coastguard received a 999 call from a member of the public who reported seeing a kite surfer down in the water and being blown further off shore.
A crew from Clacton attended along with the RNLI lifeboat and brought the kite surfer safely back to shore.
A spokesman for Thames Coastguard said the individual did not need medical attention.
