POLICE are appealing for information after a man wielding a large knife forced his way into a house.
The aggravated burglary occurred in Ayloff Road, Colchester at about 11.30pm last night .
After the suspect forced his way into the property, the occupants - a husband and wife - were verbally threatened before the man made off from the premises with a small sum of cash.
The man is described as white, aged 20 to 25, of slim build, unshaven, with a slim nose and blue or green eyes.
He is believed to have been wearing a black leather jacket, a dark grey/black scarf tucked into his jacked and a black woollen hat.
