KING's Lynn racer Kozza Smith has been ruled out for the season after breaking his ankle in the club's 46-43 Premier League defeat at Rye House.
The luckless Aussie crashed in his fourth ride at Hoddesdon with a suspected broken fibia which was confirmed by hospital specialists.
Smith looked back to his best after a lengthy early season lay off when he suffered a collapsed lung, four cracked ribs, a fractured shoulder and broken arm in a major shunt for Ipswich.
Simon Lambert will deputise for Smith in Wednesday's Premier League home meeting against reigning champions Edinburgh.
