LINCOLNSHIRE-based racer Simon Lambert won the 2009 Renaissance Property Ltd Shareholders Trophy at Mildenhall on Sunday Afternoon.

The sun came out for the final fixture as the fans flocked to West Row and they were certainly treated to a very entertaining meeting as the title was decided in a run off with Lambert and his good friend Darren Mallett tied on 13 points each it was the former that roared to victory after taking the lead on the first bend of the second lap

It could have been different however as home star Taylor Poole won all his races that he finished but was disqualified in his second ride for knocking off Mallett on the back straight but he still ended up on the rostrum taking third place overall.

The event was marred however when former Fen Tiger Jari Makinen and Kings Lynn's Scott Campos were involved in an awkward looking fall and both took no further part in the proceedings with Makinen suffering a knee injury and Campos concussion.

Also as something different were the guys from the Blast From The Past on their vintage machines which certainly interested the supporters and modern day riders alike.

Meeting organiser and Fen Tigers Assistant Team Manager said” I thought the meeting went very well and it is something that we will be looking at running on a annual basis infact Simon Lambert has already put his name down to defend his title!”

Scroggins continued” I would like to thank Neil Watson of Renaissance Property Management , The Shareholders, Funky Catering and all the staff and riders that made the meeting such an enjoyable way to end the season.”
