FIRE crews were scrambled to the scene of a blaze in Essex this afternoon.
Essex Fire and Rescue Service was alerted to a fire in a grain dryer in Langenhoe Hall Lane in Langenhoe at 1.25pm.
The dryer contained around 12 tonnes of grain, which was mechanically emptied, and crews used one hose reel to extinguish the flames by 3.30pm.
