Leg break heartache for Coventry star

COVENTRY youngster Ben Barker is to have surgery after suffering a broken leg in a World Under-21 qualifying meeting in Germany.Barker has flown back to the UK but was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance from Gatwick Airport.

COVENTRY youngster Ben Barker is to have surgery after suffering a broken leg in a World Under-21 qualifying meeting in Germany.

Barker has flown back to the UK but was immediately taken to hospital by ambulance from Gatwick Airport.

British Under-21 boss Graham Reeve said: “The boy was in so much pain he couldn't get off the plane. He's waiting for a visit from the surgeon before the operation.”
