TESCO has today announced plans for a new store and business park in Leiston.
It is hoped that the new scheme will generate investment in the area, and now the public is being asked for their views.
The new development would be located on Abbey Road, next to Jewson and will bring around 200 jobs to the town and the surrounding area.
In addition six business units are proposed to be located behind the store.
Louise Gosling, Tesco Coporate Affairs Manager said: “I hope that many people will see the benefits these proposals could bring to Leiston, including more convenient shopping, more jobs and new investment.
“I’m really looking forward to hearing people’s views at our public exhibition.”
The public exhibition will be held on Friday, 26 and Saturday, 27 November at the Leiston United Church on the High Street.
