Wing mirrors on at least six parked cars were damaged in Leiston over the weekend after a youth was seen kicking out at a moving vehicle on Saturday night.

The youth, who was wearing a baseball cap and dark clothing, kicked out at the car as it was driving along High Street at around 8.50pm, knocking its wing mirror off.

At least six cars parked in the Central Road area of the town also suffered wing mirror damage between 9pm on Saturday and 8am the following morning, in a spate of vandalism police are treating as linked.

Wing mirrors on a red Ford, a blue Ford, a silver Renault, a purple Vauxhall and a silver Skoda parked in Central Road and a white Nissan parked at Upton Place were either smashed, broken off or bent back.
