Firefighters took about 30minutes to free a horse which had become trapped in a trailer in Levington.
Crews were called just after 3.15pm to Bridge Street where the animal’s owner was having difficulty rescuing the horse which was trapped over an iron bar.
The owner and crews worked with a vet to get the horse off the bar by about 4.05pm.
Earlier today, at about 10.40am, a fire crew was called to Bures Road, Assington, because of a report of a telegraph pole fire.
On arrival the crew found one electricity pylon on fire. Firefighters waited for engineers from UK Power Networks to arrive. The fire was brought under control by around 11.40am.
