The rail line between Diss and Norwich has reopened, after a person was believed to have been hit by a train at Long John Hill in Norwich.
Train services between London Liverpool Street and Norwich are returning to normal but some services may still be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes, with disruption expected until 9pm. Several trains have been cancelled.
Emergency services including police, fire and ambulance were called to the scene following the incident which happened about 5.20pm.
A spokesman for British Transport Police said they were unable to comment as it was a ‘live’ incident.
A spokesman in the Norfolk police control room said they were called to assist the BTP following reports of an incident taking place in the Lakenham area.
