Liquid substance thrown in victim’s face in aggravated burglary in Brettenham, near Hitcham

Cash was stolen after an aggravated burglary in Brettenham where a liquid substance was thrown into a victim’s face.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident, which took place at a property in The Street yesterday around 2pm.

Three unknown male suspects knocked on the door of the property and asked for directions to Ipswich.

When the victim gave directions, one of the males threw a liquid substance into his face, which was later found to have caused no lasting damage.

The offenders then forced their way into the home and made an untidy search of the property before taking a quantity of cash.

The suspects are described as possibly being Asian in appearance.
