AN obsessed stalker who threatened to kill Little Britain star David Walliams has today been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

Sarah Bartholomew, of Clacton-on-Sea, admitted sending a deluge of gifts, letters and emails to the comedian in a four-year deluge of harassment.

The 29-year-old, who was also handed a restraining order banning her from making contact with the star, told Mr Walliams in one letter that she would “kill or abduct him” to stop him seeing anyone else.

District Judge Adrian Turner told Bartholomew she would remain at a psychiatric hospital until doctors decided she posed no threat to herself or anyone else, calling the case “sad but not bad”.

Her obsession, which began after meeting the star in 2004, saw her follow him across Britain and send hundreds of letters and gifts.
