Father Christmas is set to tour round Long Melford later this month visiting a number of streets, roads and locations in the village.
The venture is being organised by former chairman and secretary of the Friends of Long Melford Primary School, Becky Gridley and Pip Cook.
They are aiming to bring the magic of Christmas back to the village on Sunday, December 23, with help from Daro Products Ltd, JRL Scaffolding and Beau and Arrow Events, along with a locality budget donation from parish councillor Richard Kemp.
The route begins from Theobald’s Close at 4pm and will go via Station Road, Roman Way Estate, St Catherines Road, Meetingfield, Hall Street, Bull Lane including Chadburn, Middle Way and Raile Walk, Lakforth, Sampson Drive, Cordell Road, Cordell Place, Laurel Drive, Swanfield, Olivers Close and Harefield, finishing at approximately 6pm.
The pair have a Facebook page especially for this event entitled “Father Christmas travels around Long Melford” which will have the approximate timings of when each estate can expect to see and hear his visit.
