With the Christmas shopping season about to start, Ipswich’s new Park and Ride operators First Eastern Counties are to run extended services for the next seven weeks.
From the lights’ switch on next Thursday, November 16, there will be extra buses on Thursday evenings and all day on Sundays from the two centres at Martlesham and Copdock Mill.
David Jordan, Marketing Manager for First Ipswich said; “We are looking forward to welcoming customers on the park and ride services leading up to the festive season and we are delighted to be working in partnership with Suffolk County Council and Ipswich Borough Council to be able to offer additional services at this busy time of year.
“To help improve congestion around the town and make journeys less stressful, using park and ride is a fast, convenient, cost effective way to travel, giving you extra pennies to spend on all those Christmas goodies”.
