COMMUTERS in west Suffolk faced “considerable delays” this morning after a lorry and car were involved in a collision on the busy A14.
The accident, which happened at 4.15am on the westbound carriageway of the road between Kentford and the A142, involved a lorry and a Vauxhall Vectra.
The lorry also collided with the central reservation. As a result, both lanes of the road were closed and diversions put in place.
A police spokesman said it was likely that the road would remain closed until midday. There were no serious injuries in the accident.
