Around 6.15am the injured cat – a female tabby - was found struggling back to the property. She appeared to have been shot and this was confirmed when the animal was taken to the vet for treatment. The cat’s leg had to be amputated.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call PC Carlo Di Franco at Lowestoft by dialling Suffolk Police on 101, quoting reference LO/14/2655.
