FIRE CREWS were called out to a car on fire on a public highway this evening.
The car, on Mountbatten Road, Lowestoft, was well alight at around 8.30pm, when firefighters from Lowestoft South and North Lowestoft attended.
Firefighters battled the flames and used two water fogs and foam as well as breathing apparatus to get the blaze under control shortly before 9pm.
It is not yet known whether the fire is being treated as suspicious.
