Police are appealing for witnesses after an assault in St Johns Road in Lowestoft

It happened at around 9.55am yesterday. Officers were called to reports of a fight and arrived to find a man with a bike with a red lump on his head and blood on his hand.

The cyclist – a 30-year-old man – stopped and was then assaulted by the stranger who was accusing him of supplying drugs.

Police are asking anyone who saw the incident or anyone with information about the offender to call Pc Jade Daly at Lowestoft on 101.
