Firefighters from two Lowestoft stations took on a blaze which started in the front room of a house.
The fire started at about 3pm today, inside a property in Sussex Road.
Two engines from Lowestoft South and one from North Lowestoft arrived at the three-storey house, which had become heavily smoke logged.
Crews located the fire in a front room and were able to bring the flames under control by 4pm using two hoses.
