Three men and a 16-year-old boy have been arrested on suspicion of burglary following an incident at a flat in Victoria Terrace in Lowestoft yesterday.
A young man and woman were in their home when four males broke in and attacked them around 2.45pm on Tuesday, February 18.
Both sustained minor injuries but have been left extremely shaken by the incident, and from initial enquiries police believe the couple may have been targeted by mistake.
After receiving the initial 999 call around 3pm, officers attended and began enquiries to trace those involved.
About 5.30pm the four – a 16-year-old boy, a 20-year-old man, a 24-year-old man and a 43-year-old man - were arrested in Larch Road in Lowestoft in connection with the incident.
All four have been detained on suspicion of burglary and all are currently in custody where they are being interviewed by detectives about the break-in and assault of both the young man and his partner.
