A Suffolk man who downloaded indecent images of children has been given a suspended prison sentence.

Police officers who went to Alan Beaver’s Lowestoft home seized a number of electronic devices which were found to contain 21 still and moving indecent images of children, Ipswich Crown Court heard.

Stephen Spence, prosecuting, said that two of the still images and five of the moving images were in the most serious level A category, one still image and four moving images were in category B and two still images and seven moving images were in the lowest level C category.

Beaver, 32, of Private Road, Lowestoft, admitted making indecent images of children and was given a four month prison sentence suspended for two years and a 60 day rehabilitation activity requirement.

He was also given a sexual harm prevention order and ordered to do 100 hours unpaid work in the community and to pay £1,000 costs.

Mark Roochove for Beaver said his client accepted his wrong doing and was motivated to accept help and change his ways.
