A 45-YEAR-OLD man has been charged with aggravated burglary with intent following an incident in Lowestoft.
A man in his 80s was in his flat, between the Rectory Road and Cliff Road junctions of London Road South, on August 29 at around 9.30pm when he heard a smash and noise by his front door.
He went to investigate and found a man breaking into his home.
Mitchell Martin, of Kendal Road, Lowestoft, was arrested yesterday (Friday) and was subsequently charged.
He has been detained in custody overnight to appear at Ipswich Magistrates’ Court this morning (Saturday).
