Lowestoft: Man in court after burglary and drug charges

Stephen Jones, of High Street, Lowestoft, was arrested shortly after a break-in at business premises in Lowestoft High Street in the early hours of Monday, August 5.

A man charged with stealing nearly £500 and growing cannabis is set to appear in court today.

Stephen Jones, of High Street, Lowestoft, was arrested shortly after a break-in at business premises in Lowestoft High Street in the early hours of Monday, August 5.

The 39-year-old was charged with the burglary – stealing £499 in cash – and with producing cannabis after six plants were found growing at a property in the high street.

He is due to appear at Lowestoft Magistrates Court this morning.
